Citation Audit & Cleanup Service

Our citation clean up includes our team manually undertaking 4 rounds of manual outreach to resolve incorrect or duplicate citations. This will be by email, using their contact form or using the claim listing feature on the particular citation website.

As this is a manual service we cannot, unfortunately, guarantee what % of the incorrect citations will be fixed. We do 4 rounds of outreach to every site, each round about 10 to 14 days apart. If by round 4 we have not reached 70% clean-up, we will offer 2 more rounds included to try and reach this %.  After round 6, the order will be marked as complete. If you have old login details from previous orders which still work, this greatly can help us achieve a much higher success rate.

For USA based customers the answer is no, your local citation audit includes checking the following aggregators: Factual Acxiom, InfoUSA and Localeze – each of which we include in our report, however, we don’t update these, we simply list them in the audit report. The reason being there is additional costs for these and for our budget of $200 this can not be included. We are looking into a package soon which will include aggregator cleanup, but at this time we cannot find a vendor who we think does a good job of this. For UK based cleanups, we can generally get most of the main aggregators updated like centralindex.com
